Dural-Based Neurosarcoidosis with Cortical Vessel Involvement Mimics Atypical Meningioma with Brain Invasion on Imaging

چکیده
Neurosarcoidosis is a rare manifestation of sarcoidosis, comprising 5-15% cases. We present case 44-year-old man with no prior medical history who experienced two episodes diffuse tonic-clonic seizures. Imaging showed dural-based lesion evidence brain parenchymal involvement, suggestive an aggressive, atypical meningioma invasion. He underwent resection and recovered well; histopathological assessment tissue diagnosis demonstrated perivascular granulomatous inflammation negative markers for mycobacterium.

Primary frontoparietal lobe convexity germinoma with dural invasion mimics meningioma.
Intracranial germinomas are rare and account for only 0.4-3.4% of primary intracranial tumors. They develop mainly in the midline structures in adolescents. The pineal gland is the most common site of this tumor. Here, we describe an unusual case of a giant primary intracranial germinoma located in the intracranial hemisphere with radiological findings that mimicked a meningioma. The clinical d...
متن کاملPrimary Osteolytic Intraosseous Atypical Meningioma with Soft Tissue and Dural Invasion: Report of a Case and Review of Literatures
Primary intraosseous meningioma is a rare tumor, and atypical pathologic components both osteolytic lesion and dura and soft tissue invasion is extremely rare. A 65-year-old woman presented with a 5-month history of a soft mass on the right frontal area. MR imaging revealed a 4 cm sized, multilobulated, strongly-enhancing lesion on the right frontal bone, and CT showed a destructive skull lesio...
متن کاملA Case of Neurosarcoidosis with Labyrinthine Involvement
Sarcoidosis is a chronic granulomatous disease of unknown aetiology, which may involve any organ system. It most commonly occurs in adults with childhood involvement being rare. Central nervous system involvement is seen in up to 25% and typically involves meningeal disease resulting in multiple cranial neuropathies. Other common clinical findings include seizures, headache, dementia, and pitui...
متن کاملMR imaging findings of spinal dural involvement with Wegener granulomatosis.
Involvement of the brain and meninges is rare in cases of Wegener granulomatosis, occurring in 2% to 8% of cases. Meningeal involvement in association with Wegener granulomatosis has scarcely been reported as being confined to the dura mater of brain on images and is thought to represent granulomatous infiltration. There are a few reported cases of Wegener granulomatosis that document involveme...
متن کاملSpinal Dural Arteriovenous Fistula: Imaging Features and Its Mimics
Spinal dural arteriovenous fistula (SDAVF) is the most common spinal vascular malformation, however it is still rare and underdiagnosed. Magnetic resonance imaging findings such as spinal cord edema and dilated and tortuous perimedullary veins play a pivotal role in the confirmation of the diagnosis. However, spinal angiography remains the gold standard in the diagnosis of SDAVF. Classic angiog...
